Description

June 3-10 Vancouver A gay issues and gossip column entitled "Page 69" debuted in the Georgia Straight. It was written by Q.Q. (Kevin Dale McKeown) and ran intermittently in the Straight until Q.Q. retired in April 1974. The column was controversial as Q.Q. often feuded with local gay liberation groups. "Page 69" also appeared sporadically throughout the early 1970s in other publications in Vancouver, including The Gay Canadian, Open Doors, and Thrust.
