Description
September Vancouver Roedy Green began to write letters to the people placing gay personal ads in the Georgia Straight. Green's letter-writing campaign, designed to gather information in order to help people to come out and to make contacts with various groups within the gay community, soon grew into a small informational publishing venture. By March 1971, Green's project had grown so large that he was able to publish the fifty-page book, A Guide for the Naive Homosexual, a guide to coming out and directory of meeting places for gay people in Canada, in an edition of 3,000 copies.
