Description

April 27 Montréal Expo '67 officially opened. In the months leading up to the event a number of gay bars and clubs were forced to close after the Quebec Liquor Board refused to renew their licences. This was part of an attempt by authorities to clean up Montreal's image in preparation for Expo.
