February 6 Toronto Charges of possessing obscene literature for the purpose of distribution were laid against the Kamp Publishing Company, its secretary-treasurer Kurt Lauer, and Gary Somers, manager of the company's store (K.K. Books) at 292 Yonge Street. The store sold a large selection of tides of interest to gay men.
