Description

October Ottawa Section 61 of a White Paper on immigration policy recommended that homosexuals "could safely be deleted from the specific list of prohibited persons" not allowed entry into Canada. Section 5 of the Immigration Act stated that homosexuals, along with pimps, prostitutes, and drug addicts, were "undesirable" and therefore forbidden to enter Canada.
