Description

July Toronto Two magazine was launched by Gayboy Publishing (later Kamp Publishing Company), with its editorial office listed as the Melody Room, 457 Church Street. Its name was inspired by the early American homophile magazine One. Beginning in April 1954, One had published a supplement entitled TWO (Truth Will Out); the Toronto publication was named after this. An occasional (later bi-monthly) collection of fiction, reviews, news, photos, and artwork. Two's stated purpose was "to promote knowledge and understanding of the homosexual viewpoint among the general public and to educate homosexuals as to their responsibilities as variants from the current moral and social standards." Two ceased publication after issue eleven (July - August 1966).
