May 20 Waterloo, Ont. A GATE (Toronto) proposal for the formation of the Coalition for Gay Rights in Ontario (CGRO) was endorsed at the plenary session of the "Gay Liberation and Human Growth" conference at the University of Waterloo, CGRO was formed to coordinate the efforts of thirteen Ontario gay groups lobbying to amend the Ontario Human Rights Code to include sexual orientation.
