June Calgary Gay Information and Resources Calgary (GIRC) was formed. Its office, originally located at 2-112A 8th Avenue S.E., offered weekly meetings, a speaker's bureau, political action, and a library. The group's first chairperson was John Windi (a.k.a. Windi Earthworm).
