March 11 Ottawa B.C. MLA Rosemary Brown (Vancouver-Burrard) appeared as a candidate for the leadership of the federal NDP at a public meeting sponsored by the NDP Ottawa-South Riding Association. She spoke briefly on gay issues and the link between the socialist struggle and gay rights. GO members in attendance reported that the audience reacted with "polite silence and embarrassment."
