Description
November 17 Toronto About twenty-five people met at the CHAT centre to discuss the possibility of establishing the first Canadian chapter of Dignity, the group for lesbian and gay Roman Catholics. Jim Leitner of Dignity (Boston) addressed the group, reading Dignity's "statement of position and purpose." About fifteen people signed up to help organize the chapter, and Father Tim Ryan became the group's chaplain. Dignity Toronto began to meet at St. Cecilia's Church but by July 1975 had moved to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 510 Sherbourne Street.
