Description

June 10 Vancouver On CKNW-AM's "Investigators Programme," Bob Cook of GATE (Vancouver) was able to ask NDP leader David Lewis whether he and the NDP supported the inclusion of a sexual orientation clause in the Canadian Bill of Rights. Lewis declared that he believed the Bill of Rights was not the proper place for that provision but that statutes that discriminated against people because of their sexual orientation were unjustified. Lewis was on a campaign tour leading up to the July 8 federal election.
