May 19 Ottawa Representatives of groups from Vancouver, Ontario, Montréal, Québec City, and Halifax met to discuss strategies for gay liberation. During the meeting it was proposed that an official pan-Canadian conference of gay organizations be held; the first such gathering was eventually held in Quebec City, October 6-7, 1973.
