Description

November 30 Toronto CBC-TV'S Tuesday Night aired "Nothing to Hide," produced by Jeannine Locke, an hour-long examination of gay life filmed in New York in 1970. It was denounced in the House of Commons as "vulgar and distasteful" by Robert Coates (PC-Cumberland-Colchester North) and as "just a fairy tale" by Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. The film also met with criticism from the gay community. (see also December 9—10, 1971.)
