Description

February 11 Ottawa In the House of Commons, Arnold Peters (NDP - Timiskaming) stated that MPS should welcome the proposed amendment of the Criminal Code that would decriminalize certain homosexual acts in private between consenting adults (Bill C-150). Peters made reference to a former (unnamed) Member of Parliament whose political career was ruined because of his homosexuality, and concluded, "I do not think we should build a society that hounds a person for something that he cannot control."
