July Vancouver Jaye Haris, the first executive advisor of ASK, resigned her position to move to San Francisco, where she became involved with the Society for Individual Rights (SIR). At about the same time, Bruce Somers, the first president of ASK, resigned his position to move to Ottawa. Somers was succeeded by Douglas Sanders, who remained president of ASK until November 1967.
